Venice tourist attractions
Venice, located on 118 islands and 177 canals connected by about 400 bridges, is at the center of the Venetian lagoon, four kilometers from the mainland and just a stone throw from the open seas. It is plenty of tourist attractions.
That alone is enough to make Venice a unique place to enjoy step by step, getting lost in its maze of canals and squares. It is easily reachable by plane arriving at Marco Polo Airport. A “basic” itinerary, by vaporetto (water bus), starts from Piazzale Roma, along the Grand Canal: you will see Palazzo Grassi, museum of Arts and costumes, Ca d'Oro, perhaps the most famous Venetian palace, Palazzo Vendramin, the winter home of the casino, Ca' Rezzonico, the Accademia, the Rialto Bridge and Santa Maria della Salute, the monumental baroque church.
